Well, I still feel absolutely crappy, and yet I STILL successfully made it through my first (ten-hour at that) day at the day care! Looks to be quite nice. I'm impressed with the kids themselves-- they're shockingly well-behaved, though I guess I am used to either a)kids who are all hyper because they're on a field trip, or b) disadvantaged middle schoolers, so anyone's going to seem shockingly well-behaved in comparison. The worse troublemaker in the class I'm going to spend the most time with appears to be a little girl who's a tattletale and a bit of an instigator (guess what, Megan-- her name is Megan). That's the extent of it. The day, though ten hours long, goes remarkably fast, and what's cool is since it started at 7:30 I STILL get home way before I would have gotten home from the Museum; and though it is full-time, since I'm working ten-hour days, I'm getting Fridays off too. So it's like I've somehow GAINED time although I'm working (and getting paid for!) more hours! So awesome! And I love the commute!
But yeah, if I was still at the Museum I don't think I could have gone to work today-- I don't think I'd trust myself to the drive, nor the amount of energy required for the work (all the walking around and up and down stairs and whatnot). I've come to the conclusion that this is 'flu. Not that I'm a doctor or anything. But that would be my best guess. I haven't actually had 'flu in a long time. But now, yeah, I'm just feeling it all through my body. It's like my whole body is congested, not just my respiratory system. And I keep getting chills, but I haven't had a fever since last week. But now Jason's got it too. He felt really warm when I left this morning, but apparently he felt okay enough to go to work tonight because he's not here now.
