Wow, I feel oddly in limbo right now. I'm done at the Museum, but I won't actually start my new job-- or even know exactly what it entails-- until monday. It's a strange feeling, like, hmm, what should I do with my weekend when I have no idea what I'm even going to be doing in the coming week?
Well, I guess what I REALLY need to do with my weekend is rest. I still feel cwappy. I left work early again since there's an event tonight and they were closing parts of the museum early and that made half the staff mildly extraneous anyway, so I was like, okay, time for bed. But said goodbye to everyone first. Except Heather, who I couldn't find. Everyone was sappy. I was sappy. But ah well. Weird thing about that place, you get all sappy saying goodbye, but you KNOW I'm going to end up back there visiting or working Fall Festival or some such junk and everyone will be like "Why did I get all sappy about you leaving again?" I say that, and now I'll never make it back for anything!
But yeah, I stayed home yesterday, and Bethany (now-ex-manager, not sister-in-law) called me in the middle of the day to see if I'd likely be well enough to come in today to do a puppet focus. Oddly, she called me right when I was watching The Dark Crystal, or, as I paraphrased it to the puppet focus kids today, "right when I was watching a movie made ENTIRELY OF PUPPETS! There is not a single real person in the whole movie! And even better, we have one of the puppets from that movie HERE IN OUR MUSEUM!" So anyway I thought the timing was very appropriate. So I HAD to drag myself to work, to say goodbye AND to do one last puppet focus! But after the puppet focus was over, I crashed. Missy took the rest of my schedule because she wasn't really scheduled anywhere the rest of the day.
I'm really congested right now. Drinking tea though.
Don't forget to play my game! (see post below. I'm not linking to it because you're not allowed to read the comments yet).
