I don't think I'm going to make it to work tomorrow, which is sad because it's the last day I'm going to see Whitney, who was probably my best friend at the Museum. Of this time around at least. (First time around definitely had Faith and Jason Waldron-who-is-mostly-famous-for-having-been-in-my-illustrious-Giant-Demonic-Chicken-dream-although-that-really-has-nothing-to-do-with-him-in-real-life, and of course if you count the summer [livejournal.com profile] rockonliz127 was there, but this time around, most certainly Whitney. No offense to Sally and Carrie who could be reading this and are also very cool people ;) ). But I'm still all feverish. Last evening-- anyway, see, I went to work yesterday and was feeling worse as the day progressed, but luckily Mary wanted to stay later than she was scheduled because there was a training in the evening, so she took over the rest of my schedule and I went home at three, miraculously arriving home just as Jason was pulling out of the garage, much to his shock and my oddly-having-to-maneuver-the-car-to-avoid-running-into-his-car. So I collapsed on the couch and watched various DVDs the rest of the evening, and as the evening progressed I started feeling more feverish and was running a 99.7 temp by bedtime, which isn't TOO high but still higher than normal. Then this morning I felt better (though my head was killing me) and was not feverish anymore, but I think the fever's come back this evening again. Something about being tired, maybe? I wasn't so bad in the middle of the day: I managed to get to the grocery and to the doctors-- ironically to have a healthy physical done for the day-care (she checked the "does NOT have any communicable diseases" box anyway, because I mean TECHINCALLY by the time I'm there and all...) and even unload the dishwasher when I came home. But I still feel sucky. I just took some Ny-Quil (I like Ny-Quil far too much) and am going to go to bed soon. I hope I'm okay by friday so I can go wrap everything up at the Museum and say goodbye to everyone else! And I DEFINITELY hope I'm better by Monday-- but that goes without saying!

I KNOW. I think I like it because it's one of the only medicines I actually NOTICE FOR SURE when it's working, and it IS working. (The other "medicine" I like for that reason is Tums. Instant chemical reaction! Add some base to counteract the acid! It's like an elementary school science experiment!) I totally would have not been able to breathe let alone sleep the past two nights without it. Now it's morning and has worn off, which is why I got out of bed so as not to wake Jason with my coughing which has started up again.

Ny-Quil is where my druggy tendencies come out. Jason says I'm a Ny-Quil junky. Well, at least I only use it when I'm sick!

You know, I've never had NyQuil, but I hear it works WONDERS!

Is it all the codine? Codine makes me crazy. Ha!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. I had a cold recently too, my first in YEARS. I still have a cough...

I was just writing to tell you that I am volunteering at a school for autistic children!
