I'm so glad I got into the Yuletide exchange three years ago-- it has brought me so much joy in so many ways! Just looking at the list of obscure (and sometimes not so obscure) fandoms makes me happy! I've read fics for things I've never heard of that have become some of my favorite fics! I got assigned to write for the same (not-so-obscure but for some reason people don't write 1000-word-or-more fics for it) fandom two years in a row and part of me thinks I might be mildly disappointed if I don't get it again just because I loved writing those fics so much and they garnered me so many wonderful responses! Honestly the fics I'VE RECEIVED have been just sort of a bonus perk on top of everything else going on here!

But this letter is about requests, so that's what we'll focus on!

My overarching DNW is smut. In fact you might want to stay away from romance all together but for one exception see below. But yeah, that's it. I always see letters with long lists of DNWs and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, but a lot of those other DNWs would fall under "smut" anyway.

As for what I DO want, I'm a fan of quirky. I like humor but am not adverse to heart-wrenching-- the two are better together! And yes I'd love treats!

Every year I start with the request that got me into Yuletide in the first place: the potential to read a new fic about the Loudermilk twins from Legion (TV) that I don't have to write myself! It might be an intimidating ask coming from me-- I AM the person who wrote the GUIDE to writing the Loudermilk Twins in fic after all! But that's just because I love them so much! I'd love to see more about life at Summerland pre-show (or post-show if you want to be time-loopy about it), with the Birds too, but especially the Loudermilks.

My first year doing Yuletide, someone nominated the Sal and Gabi series, and it awakened a deep, deep need in me. I absolutely need more of Sal's delightful voice telling trippy multiversal stories! I don't think I could write it myself, but maybe someone else can! Alas, no one offered, and last year no one even nominated it, so this year I nominated it again, just in case someone's out there who will!

But this year I had a similar reaction to another nomination I spotted--"No way! Who nominated that?! We should be best friends now!": the Blossom Culp series. Blossom was my imaginary friend when I was in middle school! I made up so many stories about her! And decades later I'd still love to see more stories of whatever supernatural adventures she and Alexander get up to together! This is probably my exception to the not-looking-for-romance rule-- I did always ship them-- but of course only if it's in an in-character way (and still DNW smut). I always appreciated how supportive they were of each other when the chips were down, even if they'd never admit it when the chips weren't down.

Things I Can't Request Officially Because of the Wrong Nominated Characters But I'll Throw Them Out Here Anyway In Case of Treats (yes I am very open to treats!)

I glimpsed Only Murders In the Building on the list and said, "You know what I want? The Adventures of Loretta Undercover!" I've been loving how Loretta's being used this season and thought it would be fun to see some side shenanigans of Loretta taking on more roles in effort to solve mysteries. Alas, 12 characters nominated and not one is Loretta!

Austin & Murry-O'Keefe Families - Madeleine L'Engle is the only L'Engle on there, but at least it's pretty all-encompassing! But nominated characters are only the crossover ones (the Starfishes), and we've got a couple of Austins in there. But I've been writing about the Murrys lately, particularly Alex and Kate. If you click on the Alex/Kate tag on AO3 there are only 17 results (one of which is mine), and the vast majority of those don't actually focus on them at all. It's just a background relationship tag. So pooh, I'd like to see more written from the parental pov! That I don't have to write myself, again! (that would also be an exception to the "not romance" thing)

Peeked at the Fargo (TV) list and couldn't think of anything in particular I wanted, but then I noticed Rabbi Mulligan is still on the list-- I didn't see him at first-- and remembered another year that I HAD suggested something exploring the foster-parental relationship between Rabbi and Satchel/Mike, because that's just so interesting. But Mike's not on the list so it seems kind of pushing it.

That's all I've got this year! Happy writing!
