DUDES! They remade "Ladybugs' Picnic" in Claymation! Finally my kids will know what I'm talking about when I sing that song! I love you, Sesame Street.

We have the Sesame Street Old School DVDs and that's on there. We got Nora the Fisher Price Kid Tough Music Player for Christmas and I put that song on there, but she's not as into it as we are. I quickly found a clip of it on YouTube and she was at least mildly interested in that then.

I don't know how I feel about how Sesame Street is getting all into the claymation. I want real Bert and Ernie. Not claymation Bert and Ernie that they've been doing. And the computer animation of Abby's Flying Fairy School bugs me. I want them to be Muppets, damn it!

Of course, Sesame Street has always been into weird little experimental short films in all sorts of formats. Not that Claymation is exactly experimental anymore. It is kind of funny how into Claymation they seem to be lately! But I personally have wondered if Bert and Ernie's Great Adventures is an excuse for Frank Oz to phone in his voiceovers because he doesn't have TIME for ordinary full-blown puppetry anymore!

I love that song! It was on the Sing Yourself Silly DVD that Carter had at one point. Not sure if we still have it or not.

The sad thing is is I don't even know all the words to it, but I still feel the need to burst out singing it every so often.
