Seriously, how many No-Call lists does a number have to BE on before people automated machines and depressed-and-bitter-minimum-wage-earners stop calling it?
Ugh, those automated calls are the worst. If you're going to harrass me over the phone, at least be an actual human being.
During the last elections, we were in a district with a hotly contested congressional race and the automated calls were so unbelievably annoying (we're talking at least one a day, if not more!) that if I hadn't already loathed the incumbant, I would have voted against him anyway out of spite.
I like the ones where you pick up and immediately there's this voice saying, "We're sorry we missed you, but we have something really important to tell you, so call us back!"
A couple months ago we kept getting this recording from a collection agency that was for the lady who had our phone number before we got it. Finally Jason called the number just to tell them that lady didn't have this number anymore.
How fricking annoying. I kept getting calls on my cell phone for someone getting an appliance delivered and I even called to tell them they had the wrong number, but then that weekend I was still getting calls from the delivery people wanting to know where they were since they were there to deliver it. I feel bad for the people who didn't know their appliance was there waiting for them.
I'm also on every nonprofit call list in the world, I think, and they don't need to adhere to the Do Not Call List, but they are required to stop calling if you tell each one individually not to call you anymore.
