Started timing contractions. It's complicated, especially because baby keeps moving around and HE'LL put lots of pressure on me and I'll think it's a contraction but then it turns out not to be. I suppose I should be grateful now that they're harder to time because that means they're not that painful yet! It seems to be a pretty steady every ten minutes or so now for the past hour and a half. Steady is a good sign. We don't have to go to the hospital until they're holding steady around five minutes apart for a couple hours. I'll tell Jason he can come home if he wants when he calls on his lunch break though, even if they're still not that intense or close together. He's looking for an excuse to ditch early anyway!

Woohoo! Go baby go!

Good luck, and I'll be praying for all three of you. Even if I am agnostic. :)

That just means you're open to the possibility that your prayers will be heard!

Thanks. Now I'm going to go take a nap (or at least lay on the couch for awhile) since I have a feeling it will be a long night....

Oh, and this may be a little TMI for other people...but Erica, my friend who also happens to be _a_ midwife (although not mine) suggests maybe if you can take a poop too. That might make things easier later, just no straining.

Drink lots of water too - even though they'll be IV-ing you, most likely.

I'm SO EXCITED FOR YOU! And I also know you'll tell me what I need to know in August, right?
