As always, you cut straight through to the truth. Sins of omission, yeah, been there, not done that. The fact that I choose to say no: ouch, I needed that insight!

Your comments about recognizing that everyone fails and choosing to respond with mercy rather than condemnation (Social Mercy Warrior—love it!) reminded me of a talk in our church's latest conference, based around Mandela's comment "a saint is a sinner who keeps on trying." Here's the link if you're interested: https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2015/04/latter-day-saints-keep-on-trying?lang=eng I particularly like the thought that it's never the Holy Ghost telling you to give up, and the idea that the Church is a hospital, and we all come to be helped, so we have to be patient with all the other sick people.

If I were you I would choose to say No to most of the internet. You don't need to engage in everything; there's a lot out there that you really can't influence and there's no point letting it get you down. But if every time you speak you're contributing to the good, to the side of mercy and justice (because they are the same side), if your words are uplifiting and not tear-downing, I think you can feel good about that. (This little light of mine . . .)
