Oh, I hated Wuthering Heights. I even found parts of Jane Eyre disturbing, with Mr Rochester's emotional manipulation of Jane by pretending to love another woman, and St John's cold dominance - but that one was all flowers and butterflies compared to Wuthering Heights. Horrible, horrible book. I do NOT understand how people can think of Heathcliff and Cathy as examples of True Love.

(My husband refers to that book as Withering Heights. Rather an apt name, if you ask me.)
