I thoroughly enjoyed the Mosca Mye books, but didn't LOOOOVVE them as much as other people seem to (Fly Trap would have shown up on this list had I expanded it to fifteen or twenty books). So Lost Conspiracy still wins out for me!
And like I said, I am SHOCKED that not more people made the connection between Small Persons With Wings and Diana Wynne Jones. Maybe because people tend to think of Chrestomanci or Howl first when they think of DWJ, something more fantasy-world-based fantasy, while SPWW is more along the lines of Archer's Goon-- actually, VERY similar to Archer's Goon in style and tone. Not in plot. But definitely in tone.
