Okay, DEFINITELY do "My Father's Dragon." As a chapter book read-aloud for preschoolers I mean. I just read it myself and immediately when I finished I tried it with Sam. He was into it! It's just the right level of scary danger for very young kids-- full of enough peril to be interesting, but pretty much WAY TAME relatively.
