And if anyone new among all you strangers who have begun following me in the past year also happens to have this most auspicious of birthdays, Happy Birthday to you, too! Welcome to the club!
According to Google's main page today, this is the birthday of Robert Bunsen, as in Bunsen burners (not, unfortunately, Bunsen Honeydew, but I don't suppose he has an official birthday anyway, so it might as well be today). I was not aware of that one. I was aware of Descartes and Bach and Al Gore and Shirley Jones and highly aware of Ewan McGregor, but not so much Robert Bunsen.
This is also, apparently, National She’s Funny That Way Day, which seems altogether appropriate.
