Mar. 17th, 2009 02:55 pmDudes, the other day
vovat posted about The Point of Twitter and I responded that I saw the point but didn't get how it was PRACTICAL; but yeah, you see how I rarely post anything anymore, but some things I DO end up posting are, well, rather Twittery for all that. Like, I'm reading all my youth-services-library-geek blogs and see interesting things and suddenly, hey, here's a link for you! Sorry I haven't written anything ACTUALLY ABOUT ME in forever... But anyway, you remember the one time I did that a month ago apparently for a link to an article about the importance of school librarians? Here's a follow-up interview with the librarian profiled in that original article, and I just have to post it because EVERYTHING SHE SAYS IS SO. EXACTLY. RIGHT.
Also, gal from my class in library school whose blog I stalk because she's just as obsessed with YA as I am but actually uses that obsession professionally, just got credit for that obsession from the main pro journal of the profession, so that all kinds of rocks. Particularly, and I link to it, because it proves to all my loyal readers that I am NOT the only total YA geek out there! (Carlie and I first started talking at Pitt, incidentally, the first day of orientation, because she had a Hogwarts backpack, so we had to go off on a very long in depth and excitable HP discussion of course).
Also also, I finally got to read The Hunger Games the other day, and it is, indeed, awesome.
that's all the random library bits I have for you today. I suppose now that I'm here I ought to go ahead and post something real-life related, or even philosophical but more in-depth than "here's a link," but Sam is still not napping so I'll probably let him out soon, and I need to take a shower before I do that, so I guess I won't.
Does anyone have anything they really want to know about me, my life, my interests, or my thoughts lately that I ought to remember to post about sometime?
