Here's a couple little surveys [livejournal.com profile] vovat did recently:

1. What decade did you attend/are you attending high school or college? nineties for both, although they feel like two completely different eras
2. What clothing fashion from that time are you glad/do you wish went out of style? I can't say I paid any attention to the fashion then, any more than I do now.
3. Do you still listen to the music from your high school/college years on a regular basis? I actually listen to music from that decade probably more now than I did then. I don't know about "on a regular basis" necessarily, but there are songs and groups from that decade that I really like now but wasn't interested in at all then, like Nirvana and Soundgarden.
4. What hairstyle/hair color did/do you wear during high school/college? That would have in fact been the height (or length) of my fairy tale princess hair days. Really I only cut that off because I got sick of Sam chewing on it, but it was at its most noticeable extreme in high school and college.
5. What was/is "the cool thing to do" while in high school/college? By whose definition?

1. What would you do right now, if money were not an issue? I'm sure I wouldn't be working. I mean, working for pay. Granted, the times I work now, those hours, the only things I'd be doing with that time if I wasn't here would be, like, making dinner and getting Sam ready for bed. But I'd be all about EATING proper dinners those evenings, too.
2. What would you do for the next three years, if money were not an issue? DEFINITELY not go back to work at all after I go on leave again. I don't know if I can get my brain screwed on enough to write in that time with two small children, but the option will be there.
3. What is bringing you the most joy right now that requires little or no money? SAM!!!!!!! Duh.
4. What types of things do you find enjoyable that require no money? I agree-- "Books from the library" is the height of cheap joy. Also listening to the radio assuming I have the ability to change the stations whenever necessary. Though of course, library books do require a small amount of gas money (at least in this weather/my physical condition) and the radio a bit of electric usage, so they're neither COMPLETELY free. But still, they're my all-time favorite pastimes and they're dead cheap, so that's handy.
5. Is there anything you've been meaning to do for a long time, but put off because of money? Hey, that's like everything. Number one would be replace the retaining wall along the driveway I guess.
