First off, yay to my sister and Zeke for finally getting officially betrothed! I am glad I'm getting such a cool brother-in-law. Plus, now it will be harder for him to get out of coming to family gatherings. He and Jason always amuse each other well.

Here are some more Sam videos if you're really curious. The first three might be boring to those who don't find staring at a baby who's not doing all that much utterly fascinating. The last might be too, but I actually just made that one as I was sitting here typing this, so it's cool:

Theoretically watching Sammy play, but it's very dark

Yesterday I didn't get on here to remind you all to wish Billy 'Arrison a Happy Technically-Imaginary Birthday! So do it in retrospect, for me. So, the other day I was watching some behind the scenes thing on the "Heroes" website and I found out that one of the other names they had considered for the character of Peter was "Harrison" and this amused me very much, particularly as Peter is probably the character most LIKE Billy-- well, maybe Billy's a cross between Peter and Hiro. And British-- and also, random Billy 'Arrison trivia fact, Billy's dad's named Peter. He's also technically a real person whom I actually know next to nothing about beyond that he once repaired his younger brother's guitar when they were kids and he grew up to be a mechanic. I also once saw a picture of him as an adult and was really pleased to see how much he actually did look like Billy.

Anyway, I didn't get on here yesterday-- well, I did right before I went to bed, only to discover our connection was down-- because we'd gotten our first set of movies from the Netflix preview [livejournal.com profile] vovat gave away the other day-- though, after Jason put the entire 11 seasons of X-Files on the queue, we'll probably keep going well beyond the preview-- but that was the plan anyway-- and what we'd put on first was Freaks and Geeks (6 disks total-- we got the first 3), yay, because I've been aching to watch it again and plus now we have our very own Sam Weir, whose full name was said an amusing lot in the first episode, incidentally. Jason hadn't seen the show at all before and he was very amused himself, having been probably BOTH a freak and a geek at the same time in his youth. And adulthood. Anyway, so after he left I ended up watching all the bonus features until Sam's bedtime. I just end up watching a lot of DVDs lately because I;m on the couch so much lately as it is, nursing and burping (the baby) and napping and so on... that's why. And I know it sounds like all I do is sit around and watch movies but that's because I'm sleep deprived. Although last night he (hense I) slept very nicely, and two nights ago he did, but the night in between he was VERY upset all night-- he HAD just had a vaccination earlier that day so possibly that was his issue. Anyway, so I did nothing but lay around yesterday.

Sammy is a big boy though, 10lbs 12oz, 23 in. Very strong and very healthy. Pretty good except for some fussy times. Generally sleeps very well at night, naps erraticly during the day-- sometimes only in ten-minute bits, which makes me wonder if it's time to actually put him down in his crib for regularly scheduled naptime in a quiet location. Like right now he just fell asleep in my lap, but if I put him down, will he STAY asleep?
