May. 7th, 2007 05:35 pmYeah, Sammy rocks, he's finally nursing without the shields on a regular basis (except at night, when either he or I-- I'm not sure which it really is-- is too tired to work that hard), I was even sitting right here feeding him until I hit the "post" button, by which point he'd fallen asleep and was getting really heavy so I put him in his crib. He's also getting bigger, that reminds me-- because I save his bassinet for sleeping at night (to differentiate a little between night and day-- day he sleeps anywhere BUT the bassinet)-- but he's going to outgrow that bassinet very soon and will be in the crib full-time. AND, today he FINALLY lost his cord stump, which took forever because it was really deep and was literally hanging on by just a thread all weekend-- I'm all pleased, I'm going to give him a Real Bath today just to celebrate. AND, it's also no fluke that he flipped over the other day, because he keeps doing it every time we put him on his stomach. Apparently it's just because he HATES being on his stomach THAT MUCH (unless lying on somebody else's chest, like earlier today when we both fell asleep that way). That's probably how he'll achieve everything in life-- sheer will based on not liking the current situation. He'll decide to walk just because he'll hate standing still! (Which is most likely true-- he DOES seem to have his daddy's temperment). He'll probably be one of those kids who skips from not crawling directly to walking, not only out of determination, but because at this rate he'll never learn to crawl since he can't stand being belly down...!
