Shop 'n Save Sucks
Jul. 2nd, 2005 01:03 pmReally, what kind of place has tons of charcoal but NO LIGHTER FLUID, or even a PLACE for lighter fluid which might indicate that the store does have sense but happens to be sold out at the moment this being 4th of July weekend? And when I'm standing in front of the stocked shelves of charcoal and ask the shelf-stocker-guy if they have any lighter fluid anywhere, he directs me to an aisle that does indeed have lighter fluid FOR REFILLING CIGARETTE LIGHTERS. (Which, for the non-flammable types who might not know, doesn't work on the grill you know). Also, they rearranged their produce section possibly with the intent of taking your mind off the fact that the actual quality of the actual produce also sucks. And I got this lady who liked to put like one item per bag when she was bagging. And maybe this wouldn't be annoying so much if I wasn't crampy. But Shop N Save always sucks, I only go there because it's exactly five minutes away (5:01, which is the exact track length of "Baba O'Riley," which was starting one day just as I started my car and ended just as I pulled into the SnS parking lot), whereas the Giant Eagles and anywhere else decent are in Washington and McMurray, three times that distance away. Which was typical going-to-the-grocery distance from New Alex, but New Alex also has the handy-dandy Quik Stop for small emergency purchases.
I ate two peaches for lunch because I accidentally busted the skin open on both of them, and figured not to let them go to waste then. And I also had a chocolate bar from the s'mores stash, just because I bought some more chocolate bars so we could afford to spend one on me.
