That's a fabulous poem! And another fabulous book example. That also is a good example of when breaking "the rules" works. "You CAN'T write a picture book where nothing goes right for the protagonist! You CAN'T write a story where everything happens TO the protagonist and they don't actively move the plot forward themselves! You CAN'T... well okay maybe sometimes. But only if you're awesome like Judith Viorst."
