I know that one was getting buzz from both the Caldecott AND Newbery perspectives, but the Caldecott prefers the pictures be more closely involved in telling the story and the Newbery is just a tough sell on anything that isn't a middle-grade novel; so it's kind of cool that Heart and Soul ended up winning awards for both writing AND illustrating SEPARATELY.

Also, High-Quality Picture Books being sold in grocery stores is always awesome, even when local history.
