I had to laugh at my Twitter stream this week - on Monday, everyone I follow was buzzing about the ALAs. The Oscar noms? Notsomuch. Clearly, the people I follow know what's truly important.

I squee'd about Susan Cooper. And then I promptly wrote a blog post about how awesome she is. Because she really, really is. (Also, I think I might have kind of wanted to marry Will when we both grew up, back when I was reading those books for the first time - he's certainly not a Harry Potter-type hero, but he still kinda makes my heart flutter.)
