Here, fun stuff.

1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 3 sentences on your blog along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.

Here you go:
Submit complete ms by mail in November. Responds in 8-12 months. Accepts simultaneous submissions.

One might be tempted to question whether those are actually SENTENCES....

What would actually be more fun is if everyone posted their answers right here in the comments, so everyone can see the variety. Then they can post in their own journals too. Come on! It will be fun!

Or even better, try to string them together in a semblance of a story?? That'd be cool.

Yeah, seriously-- include Liz's sentence (below) right in your paragraph of dialogue here! "This ensemble WILL have discipline!" That's a fun writing prompt actually. We'll have to see where this takes us.

I'D enjoy hearing what books they're from, 'specially if something peaks somebody's interest; but the complete randomness of no titles is a good effect, too.

Well, mine was from Stephen King's "The Wastelands" which is the middle of a series. A pretty well written series, in my opinion. Entertaining, too, although it does have dry spots. The worst part of it - the very first book.

I thought it was from the Dark tower Series, just didn't know which one.
